Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The very best of the season's greetings to you all. We've been very busy at the brewery (above today in the ice and snow, -12c outside) making sure that all our customers get deliveries and brewing sufficient beer for the New Year.
I'll be raising a glass of Ossian to all followed by a wee minikeg of Lia Fail with dinner tonight at a pal's...
Here's to you all for the the coming year, or we say in Gaelic, Nollaig Chridheil 's Bliadhna Mhath Ùr!
Slàinte, Ken

  1. Hi Ken,

I have just tried your Ossian and Lia Fail ( bought in Asda).
Ossian was very good ( that final hop taste is very good), and automatically made me your brewey's fan
I was not expecting Lia Fail to be better but, wow!, knocked me down.
It had a similar final hop taste as Ossian, however it has an intensity and creamyness ( wheat malt?) that has left me thinking about it for many days.

I have to try more of your beers ( and get more Lia Fail!!!)

    Cheers

    Andoni

  2. Hi Andoni,
    Glad you like the beers!
The finish in the Lia Fail comes from the hop bitterness which is not as much as Ossian but it's the combination of luscious caramel and dark roasted malts, which give the rich full-bodied palate or mouthfeel, together with a higher final gravity or sweetness that translate into 'creaminess'.
    All the best, ken
